A3 sized pencil drawing (42 x 29.7cms).

A portrait of a colleague's children. In drawing the upper bodies, I relied on a school photo as reference. I wanted to make the drawing less like a formal photograph and made the remainder of their clothes casual wear (rather than school iniform). I had no reference for the jeans or skirt. The childrens' hands are part invented and partly drawn with the aid of looking at lots of photos of hands. The rocks are drawn from the imagination, while the background contains elements from one of my own photos, but is not a faithful copy of that photo [link]
