Traditional Art / Drawings / Portraits & Figures

A3 sized pencil drawing - used a wide range of Derwent Graphic Studio pencils on white card (my beloved Bristol Board was not to hand when I started this). It's approximately 100 hours work over a period of 3 weeks, so quick compared to some of my drawings.

I was very inspired by the stock image which I used as reference and I've adapted it a bit. The ivy growing about her is drawn from the imagination. Also, it's worth noting, I did not faithfully copy the leaves from the original image (or I would have been kept busy until next Christmas!) - some leaves have been copied, the majority are a big bluff and were toned down to recede into the background.
