Deviantart admits there was a problem with the processor and promise to refund my original payment.
In the meantime, the ads are driving me nuts and obstructing things and slowing the loading of each page. So I pay again (by paypal this time) and the payment completes. Only this time I must wait four days for deviantart to know it's been paid and finally give me what I've paid for twice, a years f****** core membership. I am going insane.
I've received an email seeking feedback on how my helpdesk note was dealt with? I thought I should take some days to calm down before responding.
Ok, I may seem a bore as I'm still griping about not receiving the service I paid for. Deviantart are adamant they have received no funds from me, and my bank has confirmed the payment went through and there has absolutely been no refund from deviantart.
Deviantart has kindly (cough!) given me 1 months core membership; but it's not the one year's membership that I've paid for. They have said they can do no more.
I've now suggested they may have experienced a technical fault after my payment was made, maybe a server failing? I made the payment on a weekend after all when they have no staff on duty. Maybe I'm grasping at straws. What am I supposed to do when I know they have received my money; but they completely deny it? I've sent them a photo of my bank statement and I've forwarded the email I received when I renewed my core membership. It's not like you can go higher and speak to a manager on deviantart. I even tried sending a note to spyed; but that magically disappeared (perhaps there is a block in place!).
£38.58 may not sound a huge sum (according to my bank statement, it was the equivalent of $50 at the time of payment). I also paid a fortune earlier in the year to pay for supergroup status for two of the four groups I admin for; so I've been a good customer, in addition to being a premium/core member for many years. I just don't get it ... why am I not believed? I just want what I've paid for.
On June 12th, I posted a status about how I had paid for a year's core membership and then not had it activated.
I had to wait a long time for a response from the helpdesk, then they just fob me off and closed the helpdesk ticket as solved. They even claimed my payment had been refunded in full - NOT TRUE. I now have my bank statement to prove this. I have contacted them yet again to request they give me the core membership that I paid for.  I am so upset and angry at having to put up with the damn animated adverts slowing everything down when I'm using a computer or covering the deviation I'm viewing when using my cellphone.
Sorry for griping about this; I just don't understand the shoddy treatment I'm getting.
Paid for core membership three days ago ... and I'm still seeing the bloody ads.  Nothing has been updated.

Art feature and stuff ...

Journal Entry: Sun Mar 6, 2016, 8:17 PM

... Or, what have I been up to? And an art feature

Firstly, I'm rather challenged when it comes to CSS, journal skins, etc.  and I couldn't change the colour of the text (I tried).  Thanks to eerilyfair for the skin. Here's an image of mine to brighten things up a bit (before we hit all that text).

A Widow's Weeds by CaroleHumphreys

At the beginning of last year, I became very burnt out, mainly through the stresses of my job and I was at an all-time low.  After a few weeks, my GP prescribed antidepressants, which I'm still taking.  I'm fairly relaxed now, but these meds have blocked my ability to create my pencil art.  I had two modest commissions last year, one I've abandoned (the unicorn drawing) and the other is a fantasy portrait of a child ... which I've stupidly agreed to finally complete this month (following fobbing off the child's daddy throughout most of last year).
I suffered writer's block following the personally horrific events of 2006; but I didn't mind that as I still had my art.  To now not be able to do my art is a big deal and, try as I might, I find it difficult to give a fig when I'm trying to draw (thanks to the meds).  I'm not ready to come off the meds quite yet, so it will be excrutiatingly painful to finish that portrait this month!
I began making dolls last year to ensure I wasn't totally vegetating while in front of the TV.  I did post some of these to my main facebook page, (yes, I've been neglecting my art page on facebook also).  Hopefully, the links below will work to share with you what these dolls are like ... I made loads, and I did lots of vegetating in front of the box too (in between working).…………
I don't want people to worry, I am quite content (regardless of the depression!).  I go to concerts out of town regularly, and I promise, I will get back into making my art before too long (once I'm ready to come off the meds).

And now for some eye-candy from my favs:-
